Add Work From Templates
Bluerithm lets you copy work directly from a template project into an active project so you can maintain consistency and standardization from project to project and only customize where needed.
This example is for copying a site report into a project, which is considered "project-level work" since it's not specific to any certain equipment.
Step 1. Open the project Dashboard and click +ADD → Work
From inside your project, click the +ADD button in the upper-right corner. A menu appears with three options — Work, Equipment, and Issue. Choose Work.

Step 2. Choose “Start from templates”
The Add Work dialog presents three creation methods. Click Start from templates to copy from an existing template project.

Step 3. Select Project level and click NEXT
On the Attach where? screen, choose Project level — the right option for site reports, design reviews, certificates, and any other work not tied to specific equipment. Then click NEXT.

Step 4. Pick a template project from the dropdown
You're now on the Add Project-Level Work project setup page. Open the Select a template project dropdown and start typing to filter your template list. In this example we'll use Building Systems Template v3-10.

Step 5. Select the work to copy
The template's work items load in the left-hand panel, grouped by category. Scroll to find the item you want — in this example, the Site Observation Reports entry — and tick its checkbox.

Step 6. Click COPY INTO PROJECT
Once at least one item is selected, the COPY INTO PROJECT button activates at the top of the page. Click it to copy the item into your active project.

Step 7. Verify the new item in your project
To confirm the copy succeeded, click Refresh on the right-hand Project Work Items panel. The new item appears under its category — here, you can see Site Observations - 4 Items, with the newly copied entry at the bottom of the group (the previous three were added earlier).

You can also open the new item directly from the Work section in the left sidebar.
