Clear Cached Browser Files

Clear your cached files

Sometimes your browser holds onto older versions of the app's files, which can cause display glitches or out-of-date pages. Here's how to fix it.

First, try a hard refresh (fastest)

While you're on the app, press:

  • Windows: Ctrl  + Shift  + R
  • Mac: Cmd  + Shift  + R

This forces the browser to re-download the latest files. This resolves most issues. If you're still seeing an old version, clear your cached files below.

Clear cached files

Google Chrome

  1. Click the icon to the left of the web address (a lock or small "tune"/sliders icon).
  2. Click Site settings.
  3. On the page that opens, click Delete data, then confirm.
  4. Go back to the app and refresh the page.

This clears cached files for this site only and leaves your other sites untouched.

Microsoft Edge

  1. Press Ctrl  + Shift  + Delete  to open the clear-data window.
  2. Set Time range to All time.
  3. Check Cached images and files. Leave everything else unchecked.
  4. Click Clear now.
  5. Go back to the app and refresh the page.

Note: Clearing only Cached images and files will not sign you out of any sites or delete your passwords — it just makes sites re-download their files once. Use All time so older cached files get cleared too; a shorter range can miss them.

Advanced: clear this site only (Edge)

If you'd rather clear cached files for just this one site instead of all sites:

  1. On the app, press F12  to open developer tools.
  2. Click the Application tab (you may need the »  arrow to find it).
  3. In the left sidebar, click Storage.
  4. Click the Clear site data button.
  5. Close developer tools and refresh the page.

This clears cached files, cookies, and stored data for this site only.
