Universal Tagging

Summary

Universal tagging allows you to group equipment, systems, checklists, forms, issues/punch list items, etc. using common tags. Then using these tags you can use these tags to create reports, dashboards, queries and more to understand the relationships between everything on your projects.

Add and Remove Tags

Tags are added and removed on the pages for the respective item types. For example, to add tags to systems or equipment, go to the Systems page. To add tags to work items, go to the main Work page and use the Details tab.

Equipment/System/Asset Tags

From the Systems page, get a list of systems/equipment you want to tag using the filters or by clicking/tapping a folder or using filters to build a list of equipment.

Select the systems to tag using the checkboxes, then from the Options menu, select Add Tags. Type the name of the tags to add (existing tags will show up after you begin typing if there are existing tags that match).

You can add multiple tags at once by separating them with commas.

Issue Tags

From the Summary tab of the Issues page, get a list of issues you want to tag using the filters. Select the issues to tag using the checkboxes, then from the Options menu, select Add Tags. Type the name of the tags to add (existing tags will show up after you begin typing if there are existing tags that match).

Work Tags

From the Detailed tab of the Work page, get a list of work items you want to tag using the filters. Select the work items to tag using the checkboxes, then from the Options menu, select Add Tags. Type the name of the tags to add (existing tags will show up after you begin typing if there are existing tags that match).

Remove Tags

Tags are removed using the same steps to add them, but by using the Remove Tags option.

To remove specific tags from specific items, you can build a list of those items using the filters, then use the Remove Tags option.

Using Tags

Once tags have been added, you can get lists of tagged items using the filters anywhere filters are available, including for reports.
