How do I see every project's progress on the portfolio dashboard?

The Project Progress chart on a portfolio dashboard in the new Bluerithm (app.bluerithm.com) lists every active project in your account, one row each: how far along its work is, its open, awaiting verification and closed issues, and a small Progress curve and Issue curve. It's at the top of your account's main portfolio dashboard: select Dashboard in the left navigation.

Read a row

  • Progress: how much of the project's work is complete, weighted by hours. It's the same percentage the project's own dashboard shows (see Work Progress Metrics).
  • Work: how much of the project's work is complete out of the total, for example "59 of 224". Work is counted the way dashboards count it: one work category on one piece of equipment counts once.
  • Progress curve: planned progress (dashed blue) against actual progress (green) over the project's timeline, with today marked in red. It's a small version of the project's Progress Curve chart. Hover over it to see today's planned and actual figures.
  • Open, Awaiting and Closed: the project's issues by status. Awaiting means awaiting verification.
  • Issue curve: open issues (red) and closed issues (green) over time, a small version of the project's Issue Curve chart.
  • Updated: when the project's figures were last calculated. Hover over it for the exact date and time.

Find a project

  1. Type a project's name or number in Search projects (1).
  2. Click a column heading, such as Progress (2), to sort the list by it. Click it again to reverse the order. Projects with nothing calculated yet stay at the bottom either way.
  3. Click a project's name (3) to open that project's dashboard, with its full charts.

The chart shows 10 projects per page; pick another page size at the top right of the chart.

Where the numbers come from

Each row shows the figures the project's own dashboard already holds, so the two always agree. They refresh when that project's metrics recalculate: automatically, usually within an hour of changes in the project, or right away when you click Re-calculate Metrics on the project's dashboard. Re-calculate Metrics on the portfolio dashboard doesn't change these rows.

  • A dash means the project hasn't calculated that figure yet. A project's curves appear after its next recalculation.
  • Not calculated yet means the project's dashboard has never been calculated. Click the project's name to open its dashboard, and its figures fill in.

Which projects are listed

  • Every active project in your account. Closed projects and templates aren't listed.
  • When the dashboard's Dashboard Filter picks projects, the chart lists only those. Companies picked in the Dashboard Filter don't apply to this chart, and the chart says so above the list. The chart has no filters of its own.
  • Account Admins and Users see it. Guests don't see portfolio dashboards.
  • On a shared link of the dashboard, the chart shows the same rows, and project names aren't links.

Add it to another portfolio dashboard

  1. Open the portfolio dashboard and click + Add Chart.
  2. Name the chart, choose Project Progress (1) and set its Width (2). The dashboard's full width gives the curves the most room.
  3. Click Save. The chart needs no metrics or filters, and its rows show straight away.

Project Progress is offered on portfolio dashboards only. A project's own dashboard has the full Progress Curve and Issue Curve charts instead. See Portfolio and Project Dashboards for the other chart types and for sharing.
