How do I add a folder to my project?

In the new Bluerithm (app.bluerithm.com) you add folders on the Folders tab of the project's Equipment page. Folders organize your equipment by building, area, floor or system, and a folder can sit inside another folder.

  1. Open the project, then click Equipment under Project Contents in the menu on the left.
  2. Click the Folders tab.
  3. On the row of the folder the new folder belongs in, click the folder icon at the right end of the row (New subfolder). On the top row, your project's own folder, the same icon reads New folder and adds a folder at the top level.

The Equipment page with the Folders tab open; the Folders tab is marked 1 and the New subfolder icon on the Data Center row is marked 2

  1. Type the folder's name and click Confirm. The dialog shows where the folder will go, for example Project / Data Center.

The Create Folder dialog adding Level 3 Mechanical in Project / Data Center; the Folder box is marked 1 and the Confirm button is marked 2

You can also select one folder's checkbox and click ADD in the toolbar: the new folder goes inside the selected folder, or at the top level when no folder is selected.

To put equipment in the new folder, select the equipment on the Equipment tab, click Move, choose the Destination folder and click Confirm. To add many folders at once, list them in a configuration form.

The Folders tab is there for Account Admins and for Users in the company that owns the project. Guests and Privileged Guests don't see it. The tab needs an internet connection, and it is turned off while the project is downloaded for offline use: to add folders, sync your changes and turn the project's Available Offline off first (see Using the Bluerithm App Offline).
