How do I copy a template's work order into a new project?
Project Setup starts with Add Workflow. There you pick the work categories you need from a project template's work order and copy them into the project, in the template's order and with their Can start after settings and gates. A new project opens on this step.
Copy the work order before you add equipment types or work: a category that already has work in the project keeps its own place and settings.
Steps
- Open the project and click Project Setup in the left menu. It opens on Add Workflow, the first step.
- Choose the template in Select a template project (1). Its work order shows on the left, and the project's own on the right under Project work order (2).
- Tick the categories you want (3).
- Click COPY INTO PROJECT (4).

What gets copied
- The ticked categories are added to the end of the project's work order, in the template's order, each with the template's gate.
- What a category can start after comes along when the category it waits for is also in the project, copied now or already there. Otherwise Bluerithm tells you which one was left out.
- A ticked category the project already has keeps its own place and settings, and Bluerithm says so.
- If the project already has work, it follows the new order in a background job, shown in your jobs list.
The project's work order on the right can be changed on the spot, as on the Workflow tab: drag rows, and set gates and what each category can start after. The Can start after and Gate columns show only when your account has the legacy web app turned off: see How do I make work wait for other work to finish?
On a narrow screen the template's and the project's work orders are two tabs, Template work order and Project work order.
To copy a template's whole work order into a project that's already running, use Copy From Template on the project's Settings > Workflow tab: see How do I set the order work is done in?
