Can I assign an issue to more than one person?
Issues can effectively be assigned to a person or a company. An issue has one Assigned To person and their Assigned To Company. You can still get several people working on and hearing about the same issues.
Several people at the same company
Assign the issue to one person at that company and turn on Share Issue/Work Assignments for the company. Everyone from that company on the project can then see and respond to issues assigned to any of their colleagues. See Sharing Issue and Work Assignments.
Several people who each need updates
Anyone on the project can Follow an issue and get an email when it changes, whoever it is assigned to. Check rows on the Issues page and click Follow, or open Following from the project menu and switch on All issues under Follow automatically. See Follow Subscriptions for Work and Issues.
Splitting a project by building, area or discipline
- On the Issues page, select the issues for one area, click Edit, and add a label with Add labels… (Universal Labels).
- Filter on that label, click Save Filter, and share it with Everyone on this project or with the people responsible (Saved Filters).
- Each person applies their saved filter and follows those issues.
To hand an issue to someone else, change its Assigned To. To reassign many at once, see Work and Issue Assignment.
