What is the Bluerithm agent?
The Bluerithm agent is an AI agent built into the new Bluerithm (app.bluerithm.com). Ask it in plain words and it answers questions about your projects and does the work in Bluerithm for you, with your permissions and, by default, with your approval before each change.

What it can do
- Set up a project from your documents. Give it drawings, specifications and equipment schedules, and it builds the equipment list by system, adds checklists and tests from your own templates (adapted to the project), creates the project-level work, and sets up issue settings. See How do I set up a project from my documents with the Bluerithm agent?
- Answer questions across your projects, such as what is overdue, which issues need attention this week, or a comparison no dashboard is set up for.
- Work with the page you're on. It can filter, sort and group the list you're looking at, open records, and start an issue or a project update email for you to review. See How does the Bluerithm agent work with the page I'm on?
- Create and change your data: checklists and test forms, equipment and their properties, issues, folders, reports and more.
- Look things up on the web, such as manufacturer data for a piece of equipment, and tell you where the information came from.
- Learn how you work. Describe a task in plain words and it writes a skill it can reuse. See How do I teach the Bluerithm agent a skill of my own?
How you stay in control
- It only has your permissions. The agent can see and change only what you can see and change in Bluerithm.
- It asks before each change unless you tell it not to, in that conversation only. See How do I choose whether the Bluerithm agent asks before making changes?
- It uses AI credits from your account, and you can see what each response cost. See How do AI credits work for the Bluerithm agent?
Who can use it
The agent is available when AI tools are turned on for your account. Account admins and users can use it right away, and guests can use it once an account admin turns it on for them. See Who can use the Bluerithm agent in my account? To add AI tools to your account, contact us.
The agent is part of the new Bluerithm only; the legacy web app (trac.bluerithm.com) does not have it. If you also use Bluerithm from Claude or Microsoft Copilot, you can keep doing so: the agent works alongside them.
